Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that every place in Madhya Pradesh associated with Lord Krishna’s footsteps will be upgraded into a Shri Krishna pilgrimage centre, revealing the plan during a Raslila ceremony at Ravindra Bhavan.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made the announcement on Wednesday during a Raslila programme at Ravindra Bhavan, a cultural venue in Madhya Pradesh. He performed the aarti of Radha‑Krishna before speaking.
Yadav said the state government will identify sites linked to Lord Krishna’s life, such as his childhood locales, and undertake infrastructure upgrades, including temples, accommodation and visitor facilities, to promote religious tourism.
The initiative aims to boost pilgrim footfall and generate economic benefits for local communities, aligning with broader efforts to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage.
He urged local authorities and private stakeholders to cooperate and indicated that a detailed project plan will be released in the coming weeks.
