Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav says skill is the new currency, innovation the new economy

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted the growing importance of skill development, describing it as the "new currency" for Madhya Pradesh. He added that innovation will serve as the foundation of a "new economy" and called for concerted efforts to nurture both areas.

In his remarks, the CM stressed that a skilled workforce can attract investment and improve productivity, while innovative practices can drive higher value‑added output. He urged government agencies, educational institutions and the private sector to collaborate on training programmes and research initiatives.

Yadav's statement comes as the state seeks to diversify its economic base beyond traditional sectors. By positioning skill and innovation at the centre of policy, the administration aims to create more jobs and boost competitiveness on a national level.
