Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived in Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, and conducted an aerial survey of flood‑affected zones using a helicopter.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav touched down in Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh, aboard a helicopter to personally inspect areas that have been inundated by recent floods. The aerial sortie was aimed at obtaining a real‑time view of the damage and identifying the most severely affected villages.
Heavy monsoon rains over the past days have caused rivers to swell, submerging low‑lying settlements and disrupting transport links across the district. Local officials have reported that several hamlets remain cut off, with residents facing shortages of food, clean water and medical supplies.
During the flight, the chief minister observed the extent of waterlogging, noted the condition of makeshift embankments, and coordinated with district disaster officers to prioritize relief distribution. He emphasized that the state government is mobilising additional resources, including rescue teams and relief kits, to reach the hardest‑hit communities.
