Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the state will recruit for vacant positions in the forest department following the promotion of 4,506 staff members, aiming to strengthen forest management and incorporate modern technology.

Bhopal, Aug 24 — The Madhya Pradesh government has approved a fresh recruitment drive for the state forest department, targeting the numerous vacancies that emerged after 4,506 employees were promoted, the chief minister announced on Monday.

Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that the new hires will bolster forest protection efforts and enable the department to adopt advanced monitoring tools, satellite imagery and data‑driven management practices.

The recruitment will be conducted through a transparent, merit‑based process overseen by the state's public service commission. Candidates from across the state will be invited to apply for positions ranging from forest guards to technical officers.

The CM assured that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernise forest administration, improve biodiversity conservation and support sustainable livelihoods for forest‑dependent communities.

Details of the application timeline, eligibility criteria and selection procedures are expected to be released on the official forest department website within the next few days.
