The 18th BRICS Academic Forum was convened in Lucknow, marking the first such event under India’s current BRICS presidency.
Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, became the venue for the 18th edition of the BRICS Academic Forum, an event that gathers scholars and policy experts from the five BRICS member nations.
The forum was held under India’s chairmanship of the BRICS grouping, reflecting the country’s role in steering the agenda of academic and research cooperation among Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa and India.
Organisers said the meeting aims to foster dialogue on shared challenges and opportunities, strengthening collaborative research and knowledge exchange across the bloc.
