Larsen & Toubro has been awarded sizable orders to construct the Central Secretariat in Delhi and new office towers in Amaravati, marking a significant win for the infrastructure giant.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that it has secured large contracts to build the Central Secretariat complex in Delhi and a set of office towers in Amaravati, the planned capital of Andhra Pradesh. The orders, awarded by the respective government agencies, underline L&T's continued dominance in the Indian infrastructure sector.

The Central Secretariat project involves the construction of a multi‑storey office complex that will house several key ministries and administrative offices. Meanwhile, the Amaravati office towers are slated to provide modern commercial space to support the city’s emerging business ecosystem.

Industry analysts view the dual award as a vote of confidence in L&T’s execution capabilities, especially as the company navigates a competitive bidding environment. The contracts are expected to generate substantial revenue and create numerous jobs across both regions.

L&T has not disclosed the exact financial value of the orders, but sources familiar with the deals suggest they are among the company's largest recent wins. The firm plans to commence work later this quarter, adhering to strict timelines set by the government bodies.

The projects are also seen as a boost to the broader push for infrastructure development in the capital and the new administrative hub of Andhra Pradesh, aligning with national goals of modernising public facilities.
