Lohiya Law University in Lucknow has inaugurated a new Centre for Child Rights to focus on research and advocacy for children’s welfare.
Lohiya Law University (LLU) in Lucknow announced the creation of a Centre for Child Rights aimed at strengthening research, policy analysis and advocacy on issues affecting children. The centre will serve as a dedicated hub for scholars, practitioners and students to study child welfare, legal protection and social development. LLU officials said the initiative aligns with the university's broader commitment to public interest law and seeks collaboration with NGOs, government agencies and international bodies. By concentrating expertise in child rights, the centre hopes to influence legislation, support capacity‑building programmes and raise public awareness across Uttar Pradesh and beyond. The establishment marks a significant step in expanding specialised legal education in the region.
