A shooting incident occurred in the town of Sanchore, Jalore district, when a liquor trader’s Scorpio was fired upon. The victim, identified as Ganpatlal Vishnoi, sustained injuries but survived the attack.
Vishnoi alleges that the assailants demanded a bribe of Rs 5 million and threatened to kill him if the amount was not paid. He reported that the demand was made shortly before the gunfire, linking the extortion attempt to the violent act.
