A two-year-old child has died and her grandmother is critically injured after a lightning strike during heavy rainfall in Damoh district's Nandrai village.
A tragic incident occurred in Nandrai village, under the Patharia police station area of Damoh district, amidst heavy monsoon showers. A two-year-old child, who was visiting her maternal relatives, lost her life when lightning struck.
The child's grandmother also sustained severe burn injuries in the same incident. She is currently receiving medical treatment at the district hospital, with her condition reported as serious.
