A tragic incident occurred in Chhindwara district's Harrai police station area on Tuesday evening when lightning struck a temporary shelter, killing a brother and sister. Three other villagers sustained severe burn injuries.
A lightning strike has claimed the lives of a brother and sister in the Harrai police station area of Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place on Tuesday evening as the siblings were returning from their fields.
They had taken shelter in a temporary structure to escape the rain when the lightning struck. Both siblings died instantly at the scene due to the direct impact of the lightning.
In addition to the fatalities, three other villagers present at the shelter also suffered severe burn injuries. They have reportedly been hospitalized for treatment. The local authorities are investigating the incident.
