The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any weather warning for the week, but forecasts indicate light rain and gusty winds across Mumbai today.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) confirmed that there is no formal weather alert for the current week across Maharashtra. However, the latest short‑term forecast for Mumbai predicts intermittent light rain accompanied by gusty winds throughout the day.

Meteorologists attribute the expected conditions to a weak low‑pressure system moving along the western coast, which is expected to bring brief showers without significant accumulation. Wind speeds are projected to reach 20‑30 km/h in gusts, enough to cause minor inconvenience for commuters and outdoor activities.

Authorities have advised residents to carry umbrellas and exercise caution while driving, especially near coastal roads where sudden gusts can affect vehicle stability. No disruptions to public transport are anticipated, and the city’s drainage system is expected to handle the light precipitation without issues.

The IMD will continue to monitor the situation and update the public if the weather pattern intensifies, but as of now, the outlook remains limited to scattered rain and breezy conditions.
