Lieutenant Governor LG Sinha commended the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission for creating a consistent record of merit‑driven employment since 2019.

Lieutenant Governor LG Sinha publicly praised the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) for its sustained focus on merit in recruitment since 2019. In a statement released to the media, Sinha highlighted that the commission's approach has helped generate a new legacy of transparent and skill‑based employment for the region's youth.

Sinha noted that the merit‑centric system not only enhances the credibility of the civil services but also aligns with the broader goal of inclusive development in Jammu and Kashmir. He urged other state agencies to emulate JKPSC's model to ensure that job opportunities are awarded on competence rather than patronage.

The JKPSC, established under the Constitution of India, conducts examinations and interviews for various state posts. Since 2019, its recruitment statistics show a steady increase in the number of candidates selected purely on merit, reflecting a shift towards meritocracy in the state's public sector.

The Lieutenant Governor concluded by reaffirming the government's commitment to uphold merit as the cornerstone of all future hiring processes, aiming to boost public confidence and attract talented individuals to serve the state.
