A group of lawyers, termed ‘dimagi naxal’, have appealed to the Chief Minister, demanding an end to the practice of granting special traffic lanes to VIPs.

A coalition of lawyers, described in media reports as ‘dimagi naxal’, met with the Chief Minister to highlight the growing concern over the preferential traffic treatment extended to VIPs. The lawyers argued that the practice undermines road safety and creates an inequitable environment for ordinary commuters.

In their appeal, the legal professionals urged the state government to dismantle dedicated VIP lanes and enforce uniform traffic regulations for all road users. They emphasized that a fair traffic system is essential for public confidence in governance.

The lawyers indicated that they may explore further legal or public avenues if the issue is not addressed promptly, underscoring their commitment to ensuring equal treatment on the roads.
