Kumar Taurani, speaking to Bollywood Hungama, stated that the music company Tips experienced a loss on the 2001 film Ek Rishtaa. He attributed the loss to the decision by director Suneel Darshan to preponed the film's release. According to Taurani, the move disrupted the planned music rollout. He added that at the time of the early release, the film's music was just beginning to pick up popularity among audiences. The altered schedule affected the revenue expectations tied to the soundtrack and associated music rights.
