Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation announced plans to roll out additional low‑cost interstate tours, following its recent Goa circuit.

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) said it will introduce a series of affordable interstate tourist trips after completing its budget-friendly tour to Goa. The move aims to provide low‑cost travel options for families and groups looking to explore neighboring states without the premium fares of private operators.

Officials indicated that the new packages will link Bengaluru with popular destinations in adjoining states, expanding the reach of state‑run tourism services. While exact routes are being finalised, the corporation emphasized that the tickets will be priced competitively to encourage wider participation.

The initiative aligns with Karnataka's broader effort to boost tourism and generate additional revenue for the transport sector. KSRTC plans to commence the first of these interstate tours later this year, pending regulatory clearances and final schedule confirmations.

Travel experts view the strategy as a potential catalyst for regional tourism, offering a reliable alternative to private bus operators and fostering greater inter‑state connectivity.
