The Karnataka Public Service Commission cancelled a candidate’s candidature after the phrase ‘Jaya Sri Rama’ was spotted on the answer script of a recruitment exam.
Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) announced that it has cancelled the candidature of a candidate after a routine check of answer scripts revealed the phrase “Jaya Sri Rama” on the sheet.
The phrase, a religious slogan, was written by the aspirant during a state civil service recruitment exam. KPSC said that any such expression violates its examination conduct rules, which prohibit political or religious references that could compromise the neutrality of the process.
