The Rajasthan government has officially approved the gender transition of a Kota school teacher, changing the name from Mandodari Chaudhary to Rudra Jat.
The state government of Rajasthan issued an order confirming that a teacher employed in Kota has been granted legal recognition of a gender transition, with the new name Rudra Jat replacing the former name Mandodari Chaudhary.
The decision follows the application submitted by the teacher under the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019, and aligns with the state’s policy to uphold the rights of transgender individuals in public employment.
