Police in Katihar district reported that a 20‑year‑old resident of Pothiya village was stabbed to death during a confrontation with a neighbouring youth. The assailant also wounded the victim's elder brother, who remains in serious condition at a local hospital.
According to the investigation, the dispute between the families escalated into a knife fight, after which the neighbour fled the scene. Local authorities have registered a murder case and are pursuing the suspect, who is currently at large.
