Kerala University will provide a six‑month paid apprenticeship to students enrolled in the FYUGP program, aiming to enhance practical skills and employability.
Kerala University has announced a new initiative to offer six‑month paid apprenticeships to students enrolled in its FYUGP program. The program will provide hands‑on experience in industry settings while allowing participants to earn a stipend. University officials said the apprenticeship will bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace demands, improving graduates’ job prospects.
Applicants will be selected through a competitive process, and the apprenticeship will cover a range of sectors relevant to the university’s curriculum. The stipend is intended to support students financially during the training period.
The university hopes the program will attract more students to the FYUGP course and strengthen ties with local businesses. It is part of a broader effort to align higher education with industry needs in Kerala.
