Kerala Teacher Arrested Over False Worms Claim at State Sports Meet

A Kerala teacher was taken into custody by police following allegations that worms were discovered in food served at a state sports meet.
The claim, made by the teacher during the event, was later found to be unsubstantiated, with no evidence of worms in the food samples.
Police arrested the teacher on charges related to making false statements and potentially defaming the event organizers.
Investigators are reviewing the incident to determine whether any other parties were involved and to assess the impact on food safety protocols at sports events.
The case has prompted authorities to reinforce checks on catering services at future state-level competitions.
