Kerala Police have signed a three‑year agreement with cybersecurity firm Cyble to enhance their capacity to probe cybercrimes, officials said.
The Kerala police department entered into a three-year partnership with Cyble, a global cyber‑threat intelligence firm, on Monday. The agreement is aimed at bolstering the state's ability to detect, investigate and prevent cyber‑related offences.
Under the pact, Cyble will provide the police with real‑time threat intelligence, analytical tools and training modules designed for law‑enforcement personnel. Officials said the collaboration will help bridge existing skill gaps and enable faster response to emerging digital threats.
The move comes as cybercrime cases across India have risen sharply, prompting several state agencies to seek specialised support. By leveraging Cyble's expertise, Kerala hopes to improve case resolution rates and safeguard citizens' online assets.
Both parties emphasized that the partnership will operate within the framework of existing legal provisions, ensuring that investigative actions respect privacy and data‑protection norms.
The agreement marks one of the few long‑term collaborations between an Indian police force and a private cyber‑security firm, signalling a growing trend of public‑private cooperation in the digital security arena.
