Kerala Launches 'Toofan Thaddesham': Statewide Drug Awareness Drive in Every Ward

Kerala’s state government has launched its biggest anti‑drug campaign to date, titled 'Toofan Thaddesham', which will be implemented in every ward across the state. The initiative aims to mobilise local communities, schools and NGOs to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use and to encourage voluntary participation in prevention programmes. Each ward will receive dedicated resources and trained volunteers to conduct workshops, distribute informational material and conduct outreach activities. Officials say the campaign will also focus on early detection and rehabilitation support for those affected by substance abuse.
