The Karnataka government, represented by Minister Shivakumar, announced that KEO will roll out AI computing facilities across every government school in the state.

Bengaluru, Karnataka – In a move aimed at strengthening digital education, the state government has partnered with technology firm KEO to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) computing infrastructure in all government schools. The initiative was disclosed by Education Minister K. Shivakumar during a press briefing, emphasizing the goal of equipping students with modern computational tools.

KEO will supply the necessary hardware and software platforms, enabling schools to run AI-driven learning applications. The rollout is planned to commence in the upcoming academic session, with a phased implementation across districts to ensure smooth integration.

The program is expected to complement existing digital curricula, fostering skill development in emerging technologies among school‑age children. Officials indicated that training for teachers will accompany the hardware deployment, ensuring effective classroom usage.

While detailed budgeting and timelines were not disclosed, the announcement signals Karnataka's commitment to bridging the technology gap in public education and preparing its youth for a future driven by AI.
