Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the Anti‑Corruption Bureau’s arrest of minister Satyendar Jain was carried out under pressure from Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Delhi took former minister Satyendar Jain into custody earlier this week, citing ongoing investigations into alleged irregularities.

In a press briefing, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed the arrest was not solely a law‑enforcement decision but was taken after direct pressure from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Kejriwal said the central leadership intervened to ensure the case proceeded swiftly.

The ACB, however, declined to comment on any external influence, stating that its actions are guided by evidence and legal procedures. The incident has sparked a political debate in the capital, with opposition parties demanding a transparent inquiry into the alleged interference.

No official statement from Amit Shah or the Home Ministry has been released as of now, and the matter remains under close scrutiny by both state and national media.
