Kavadis Turn Wounded Swan into Journey Companion on Dhar-Ujjain Trip

A traditional kavadi procession of more than 200 participants set off from Dhar toward Ujjain on a recent day.\n\nDuring the march, a swan that had sustained injuries in a road accident was found on the roadside. The kavadi riders immediately took responsibility for the bird, providing first aid and securing it in a makeshift carrier.\n\nThe wounded swan was carried alongside the carts, and its presence drew cheers from onlookers along the route. Local volunteers and the kavadi group ensured the bird received proper care throughout the journey.\n\nBy the time the procession reached Ujjain, the swan had recovered enough to walk beside the kavadis, becoming a symbol of compassion and unity for the event.
