A man named Dalpat Patel, accused in a theft case, set himself on fire inside the Katni police station on Tuesday after his wife and son were taken for interrogation. Police responded promptly, extinguishing the flames and transporting him to the district hospital where he received emergency treatment. He was later transferred to Jabalpur for further care. Authorities are continuing the investigation into the theft and the incident at the station.
