The Karnataka government has launched a two-year programme to combat anaemia among women and youth in the Kalyan Karnataka region. The initiative will provide iron-folic acid supplements, nutrition education and regular health check-ups.
The state government announced the launch of the anti-anaemia drive aimed at improving haemoglobin levels among women and youth in the Kalyan Karnataka region.
Under the programme, beneficiaries will receive regular iron and folic acid supplements along with counselling on balanced diet and nutrition.
Health workers will conduct periodic screening camps to monitor progress and identify cases requiring further medical attention.
Officials said the two-year effort is expected to reduce anaemia prevalence and contribute to better maternal and child health outcomes in the area.
