Heavy rainfall has prompted the closure of schools in 14 taluks across Karnataka as rivers swell and bridges become submerged, disrupting normal life.
Educational institutions in fourteen taluks of Karnataka have suspended classes due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions. The decision comes as the state grapples with incessant rainfall that has led to significant swelling of rivers.
Several areas have reported that river waters have risen considerably, inundating low-lying regions. This rise in water levels has also resulted in bridges being submerged, cutting off connectivity in affected parts of the state.
The closures aim to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff amidst the challenging circumstances posed by the monsoon season.
