The Karnataka government is testing ElevenLabs' artificial‑intelligence voice technology in pilot projects aimed at skill development, healthcare delivery and public‑service administration.
Bengaluru, Karnataka – State officials announced that they will run pilot programmes using ElevenLabs' AI‑driven voice platform across three key sectors: vocational skilling, public health and governance. The trials are intended to assess how synthetic voice assistants can improve accessibility of information and streamline service delivery for citizens.
The skilling pilots will integrate AI‑generated audio prompts into existing digital learning modules, allowing trainees to receive instructions and feedback in regional languages. In the health domain, the technology will be used to convey medication reminders, appointment alerts and basic health advice through voice calls, especially targeting rural and semi‑urban populations.
For governance, the voice system aims to automate routine citizen queries related to government schemes, document verification and grievance redressal. Officials said the pilots will run for a few months, after which performance data will guide decisions on wider deployment.
