The state has begun direct cash transfers to settle pending Grihalakshmi scheme payments for millions of women after technical glitches delayed August and September disbursements.

The Karnataka government announced that the pending ₹2,000 per beneficiary under the Grihalakshmi scheme will be transferred directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts starting today, after technical issues halted payments for August and September.

The Grihalakshmi scheme, aimed at providing financial assistance to women, left millions of recipients without the scheduled funds. By using Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the government intends to accelerate the credit process and ensure timely delivery of the assistance.

State officials said the DBT mechanism will eliminate further delays and guarantee that the money reaches the intended women beneficiaries without additional hurdles.

Beneficiaries are advised to monitor their bank accounts and report any discrepancies to the concerned authorities promptly.
