The Karnataka state government announced the creation of a panel tasked with reviewing key student and education concerns across the state.
Bengaluru – The Karnataka government issued a formal notification on Monday establishing a dedicated panel to examine student‑related and broader education issues affecting the state. The decision was taken by the state cabinet as part of its ongoing effort to address challenges in the education sector.
The panel’s mandate is to conduct a comprehensive review of the current system, identify gaps, and recommend actionable measures. Officials said the committee will gather inputs from schools, colleges, teachers and student bodies before finalising its report.
Education officials highlighted that Karnataka has seen rising enrolment numbers alongside concerns about infrastructure, curriculum relevance and student welfare. The panel is expected to provide a data‑driven assessment that can guide policy adjustments.
The committee is slated to submit its findings to the chief minister’s office within the next few months, after which the government will consider the recommendations for implementation in upcoming budget and policy cycles.
