By monitoring supply and demand continuously, the department aims to pre‑empt load shedding and maintain grid stability, especially during peak periods.
A spokesperson for the department said the initiative will enhance transparency and enable quicker decision‑making during power crises.
The group will report its findings to the department’s chief and will work with state power agencies to implement corrective measures as needed.
