Karnataka CM Calls for Withdrawal of Cauvery Bandh Notice

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has publicly requested the Karnataka government to retract the call for a bandh over the ongoing Cauvery water dispute.\n\nThe bandh notice, issued by the state, was intended to protest the perceived imbalance in water sharing between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.\n\nShivakumar warned that a statewide shutdown could disrupt essential services and hamper the economic activities of the state.\n\nHe urged the cabinet to consider dialogue and legal avenues instead of a bandh to resolve the dispute.
