Kal Penn announced on Facebook that he and John Cho have officially signed for the fourth installment of the Harold & Kumar franchise, with the script completed by the original writers.
Hollywood actor Kal Penn used his Facebook account to inform fans that he and fellow star John Cho have formally committed to a fourth Harold & Kumar movie. The announcement confirmed that the duo has signed contracts to reprise their iconic roles.
The film’s creators, writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, have reportedly finished the screenplay. Both Penn and Cho said they read the script a few weeks ago and responded positively to its content.
While no release date or production schedule was disclosed, the actors’ endorsement suggests the project is moving forward under the original creative team that launched the comedy series in the early 2000s.
The news has generated excitement among the franchise’s global fan base, who have been awaiting confirmation of a sequel for several years.
