The Andhra Pradesh government has announced plans to establish a new pooling station in Kadapa under the Integrated Storage and Transportation System (ISTS) – Transport Business and Commercial Banking (TBCB) scheme, aiming to streamline freight movement and support local businesses.
The state government has earmarked Kadapa as the site for a new pooling station under the ISTS‑TBCB initiative, a move designed to consolidate freight handling and reduce congestion in the region.
The facility will serve as a central hub where goods from surrounding districts can be aggregated before distribution, improving efficiency for traders and transport operators.
Construction is slated to begin early next year, with a projected completion window of 18 to 24 months, according to the transport department.
Officials say the project will create jobs, lower logistics costs, and attract ancillary industries to the Kadapa corridor.
