The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has delayed the main civil services examination, citing administrative concerns, while protests over alleged irregularities continue to grow.

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JPSC) announced that the main civil services examination will be postponed, a decision that has sent ripples through the state’s aspiring civil servants.

While the commission did not disclose a specific reason for the delay, officials indicated that administrative and logistical concerns necessitated a pause to ensure the exam’s integrity and fairness.

Candidates who had registered for the exam are now facing uncertainty about the new dates, as the postponement disrupts their preparation schedules and financial plans.

The decision comes amid escalating protests over alleged irregularities in the exam process, which have already led to the arrest of five individuals by the CID.

JPSC has pledged to reschedule the exam soon and to provide updated information to candidates as soon as possible.
