Union Minister JP Nadda held discussions with MPs from Jharkhand and Odisha to reinforce strategies aimed at eliminating tuberculosis in the states.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda met with Members of Parliament from Jharkhand and Odisha to strengthen tuberculosis elimination efforts in the two states. The meeting, held in New Delhi, focused on reviewing the progress of the national TB program and identifying gaps in diagnosis, treatment and patient follow‑up. Nadda highlighted the need for increased funding for DOTS centres, better training for healthcare workers and enhanced public awareness campaigns. He reiterated the government's commitment to achieving the National TB Elimination Target by 2025 and urged the MPs to mobilise local resources for the cause.
