The Jammu and Kashmir police announced the recovery of 67 missing mobile phones worth approximately Rs 12.6 lakh.

Jammu and Kashmir police said they have recovered 67 mobile phones that were reported missing earlier this year. The phones, which together are valued at about Rs 12.6 lakh, were seized during a coordinated operation by the department's crime branch. Officials did not disclose the exact locations where the devices were found, but confirmed that the recovery was part of an ongoing effort to curb mobile theft in the region.

According to the police statement, the phones were traced through a combination of forensic analysis and tips from the public. The recovered devices are being examined for any links to larger criminal networks, and the owners have been notified to reclaim their property after verification of ownership.

The department urged citizens to report stolen phones promptly and to avoid purchasing second‑hand devices without proper verification. Police continue to investigate the source of the thefts and have promised further updates as the case progresses.
