The Jammu & Kashmir Grameen Bank has initiated a Financial Literacy Camp as part of its Digital Financial Services saturation campaign, aiming to boost digital banking awareness among rural customers.

Jammu & Kashmir Grameen Bank has organized a Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) under its Digital Financial Services (DFS) Saturation Campaign. The initiative targets the bank's extensive rural network, where a large share of customers still rely on cash transactions.
The camp focuses on educating participants about the benefits of digital banking, how to use mobile wallets, online account opening, and basic cybersecurity practices. Bank officials demonstrated step‑by‑step procedures on smartphones and provided printed guides for reference.
By enhancing digital financial literacy, the bank aims to increase the adoption of DFS tools, reduce transaction costs, and promote financial inclusion in remote areas of the state. The program aligns with broader governmental efforts to expand digital payments across Jammu & Kashmir.
Bank representatives said the campaign will be replicated in other districts, with follow‑up sessions planned to monitor progress and address any challenges faced by users.
