The Jammu and Kashmir administration has reshuffled the board of directors of the Women’s Development Corporation, appointing new members to steer its initiatives.

The Jammu and Kashmir government announced the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Development Corporation. The decision, issued by the state administration, replaces the previous board with a fresh set of members tasked with overseeing the corporation’s activities.

The corporation, which implements a range of schemes for women’s welfare, skill development and socio‑economic empowerment, will now be guided by the newly appointed directors. Officials said the change aims to strengthen the focus on gender‑specific development programs across the union territory.

By restructuring the board, the government seeks to inject new perspectives and improve the delivery of services to women in both urban and rural areas. The move underscores the administration’s commitment to advancing women’s issues through dedicated institutional leadership.

The reconstituted board is expected to coordinate closely with the Department of Women Welfare and other state agencies to ensure that existing and upcoming initiatives are executed efficiently.
