The Jammu and Kashmir administration has appointed twenty JKAS officers to serve as general observers for the upcoming Accounts Assistant recruitment exam.

The state government of Jammu and Kashmir announced that twenty officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) will act as General Observers for the forthcoming Accounts Assistant examination. The appointment aims to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam and to uphold transparency in the selection process. The observers will be responsible for monitoring the examination centres, verifying the integrity of the process, and addressing any irregularities that may arise.

According to the official notification, the selected JKAS officers will be deployed across various test locations in the union territory. Their duties include supervising the invigilation staff, overseeing the handling of answer scripts, and confirming that the examination guidelines are strictly followed. The move is part of the government's broader effort to strengthen the credibility of competitive recruitment exams.

The Accounts Assistant post, which falls under the Finance Department, is expected to attract a large number of applicants. By assigning experienced administrative officers as observers, the government hopes to reassure candidates that the selection will be fair and merit‑based.
