Sources close to the Jammu and Kashmir government say a cabinet reshuffle is imminent, with several new faces expected to be inducted.
Srinagar – Sources familiar with the Jammu and Kashmir administration indicated that a cabinet expansion is likely to be announced in the coming days. The speculation follows a period of political consolidation after the state’s recent administrative changes.
Officials suggest that the reshuffle will bring several new members into the council of ministers, aiming to broaden regional and party representation. While the exact number of portfolios has not been disclosed, the inclusion of fresh faces is being viewed as a move to address local aspirations.
The chief minister is expected to unveil the new lineup at a press briefing, though a definitive date has not yet been confirmed. Observers note that the expansion could strengthen the government's legislative agenda ahead of upcoming sessions in the state assembly.
