The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the BJP has formally asked Rahul Gandhi to apologise publicly for his recent comments on the Election Commission.
The Jammu and Kashmir state committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party issued a statement demanding that Rahul Gandhi issue a public apology for remarks he made about the Election Commission.
The party said the comments were baseless and hurt the credibility of the constitutional body, and it urged the Congress leader to retract his statements and apologise.
As of now, Rahul Gandhi’s office has not responded, and the demand adds to the political friction ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
