The Jharkhand High Court has stayed the state government's move to cancel job appointments made through the 11th to 13th rounds of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission exams, allowing the selected candidates to retain their posts pending further review.

In a recent judgment, the Jharkhand High Court issued an interim order that suspends the state government's decision to cancel appointments resulting from the 11th, 12th and 13th rounds of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examinations. The stay means that the candidates who were appointed based on those exams will continue to hold their positions until the matter is fully adjudicated.

The JPSC conducts competitive exams for recruitment to various state civil service posts. Earlier, the state administration had moved to annul the appointments, prompting several affected candidates to approach the court for relief.

The bench emphasized that any cancellation must be backed by clear evidence and due process, and directed the government to file a detailed response. The court's order provides temporary relief to the candidates while the legal issues are examined.

Legal experts note that the stay does not constitute a final verdict on the validity of the appointments; the High Court will hear arguments from both sides before delivering a conclusive ruling.
