Jharkhand HC Reinstates JSSC CGL Appointments After Quashing Cancellation Order

The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday quashed the government’s order that had cancelled the appointments of candidates selected for the Jharkhand State Service Commission (JSSC) Civil General Level (CGL) exam. The court held that the cancellation was arbitrary and violated the principles of natural justice. As a result, the 12 candidates who had been named in the 2023 JSSC CGL list will retain their appointments pending the completion of the ongoing CID probe into alleged irregularities. The court directed the state government to comply with the decision and to ensure that the appointments are not affected by the investigation. The decision is expected to bring relief to the affected candidates and to clarify the legal status of the appointments.
