Senior minister Jeevan Reddy criticised Revanth for not fully exploiting the Kaleshwaram irrigation scheme and for leaving the Tummidihatti project unfinished.

Senior minister Jeevan Reddy raised concerns in a recent press briefing, stating that Revanth has neither fully harnessed the potential of the Kaleshwaram irrigation project nor completed the pending works at Tummidihatti. Reddy’s remarks were directed at the state’s water‑resource management and were presented as a call for accountability.

The Kaleshwaram project, one of the largest multi-purpose irrigation schemes in Telangana, is designed to irrigate millions of acres and generate hydro‑electric power. According to Reddy, a substantial portion of the allocated water and infrastructure remains underutilised, limiting the expected benefits for farmers across the region.

Tummidihatti, a smaller but strategically important water‑storage and distribution initiative, is also cited as incomplete. Reddy highlighted that delays have hampered local agricultural activities and raised questions about project oversight.

Political analysts view the criticism as part of an ongoing intra‑party debate over development priorities ahead of upcoming elections. No immediate response from Revanth has been recorded, and the state government has promised a review of project timelines.

The statements underscore growing pressure on Telangana’s leadership to deliver on promised infrastructure and to ensure that large‑scale schemes translate into tangible gains for the rural populace.
