The Janata Dal (United) has officially backed Neeraj Kumar for the upcoming Bihar Legislative Council polls, as the NDA coalition seeks a comprehensive victory.
The Janata Dal (United) announced its support for Neeraj Kumar ahead of the Bihar Legislative Council elections. Kumar, a senior party figure, will contest the seat under the NDA umbrella, which includes the BJP and other allies. The coalition has framed the contest as a test of its governance record in the state and aims to secure a majority of the council seats.
Political analysts note that the NDA’s strategy hinges on consolidating its base in rural and urban pockets where the JD(U) enjoys strong influence. The party’s endorsement of Kumar is expected to mobilize its cadre and swing undecided voters toward the coalition.
Election officials have scheduled the MLC polls for later this month, with multiple seats up for contention across Bihar. The outcome will shape the legislative dynamics in the state, influencing policy direction and the balance of power between the ruling coalition and opposition parties.
The JD(U) leadership emphasized that Kumar’s candidacy reflects the alliance’s commitment to development-oriented governance. As the campaign intensifies, both parties are gearing up for a high‑stakes contest that could determine the political landscape of Bihar for the next five years.
