A criminal group operating from Jamtara has been apprehended for allegedly defrauding individuals of crores through a sophisticated fake RTO e-challan scheme. Three members of the gang have been arrested.

Authorities have arrested three individuals linked to a criminal syndicate based in Jamtara, accused of orchestrating a large-scale scam involving fraudulent RTO e-challans. The gang is alleged to have amassed crores of rupees by deceiving citizens through this elaborate scheme.

The modus operandi reportedly involved issuing fake electronic traffic violation notices, impersonating official channels to collect fines. This allowed the perpetrators to siphon off substantial amounts of money from unsuspecting victims.

Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the network, including additional aides and the main architect behind the operation, who are still at large.
