The Parliament has confirmed that Jammu & Kashmir will receive a central allocation of ₹641.60 crore under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) and PM‑USHA programmes.
The Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) and the Prime Minister’s University Scheme for Higher Education (PM‑USHA) aim to strengthen higher education infrastructure across India.
In a parliamentary reply, officials confirmed that Jammu & Kashmir will receive a central allocation of ₹641.60 crore under these programmes.
This funding is earmarked for upgrading campus facilities, expanding research capacity, and improving student support services in the Union Territory.
