Jammu & Kashmir Ranks 27th in India's Electric Mobility Index

Jammu & Kashmir has been placed 27th in the latest Electric Mobility Index, a ranking that evaluates the progress of states and union territories in adopting electric vehicles. The index, compiled by the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, considers factors such as the number of electric vehicles on the road, charging infrastructure, and policy support. With 36 entities assessed, Jammu & Kashmir's position reflects its current pace relative to other regions. The ranking provides a benchmark for the state to identify gaps and accelerate its electric mobility initiatives.
